Work & Travel in a Vintage High Tech RV
our 2002 Monarch Monaco & Kia Soul tow vehicle

After 2 lovely years with our Monarch Monaco and Kia Soul, spending many a day parked in a forest while "working from home," we need to move on to a more stationary life with family and plan to get a smaller rig for weekend and weeklong trips. We hope to find another couple or family that will make great use of it and create some joyful memories like we did.

It's a 36-foot Class A 2002 Monarch Monaco, currently located in Thomaston, GA. It's built solid and long lasting with a Workhorse chassis, original well cared for solid wood cabinetry and interior, and upgrades to ensure smooth internet access even while driving. The Kia Soul attaches easily via a tow bar with an electric connection, so that turn signals and break lights work in conjunction with the RV.

Kia Soul

Our low-mileage manual Kia Soul is already set up to flat tow behind the Monaco. It has a sturdy base plate, tow bar connections, and integrated brake light and turn signal wiring. It's quick and easy to hook up. It's small, so it fits in pull through spots while parked behind the RV. Having a companion car makes it so easy to run errands and see sights wherever you are staying. Just unhitch up and go explore!

Frequently Asked Questions

Monarch Monaco

Why are you selling the RV?

We are switching from full time RVing to weekenders and going to shift to a smaller rig.

Are there any obvious signs of damage or wear to the RV?

It's more than 20 years old so some paint is fading and chipped, a few interior areas are torn or peeling. But overall, it's in very good condition.

Is there anything broken or needs fixing in the RV?

The drivers side window is a little fogged ($658 quote to replace the window with Wise autoglass). The curtains in the bedroom at the head of the bead do not go up. The windshield water sprayer is not working.

How are the tires?

Replaced recently.

Kia Soul

Why are you selling an RV and car together?

We found it really useful to have a flat towing vehicle. It's hard to park at a grocery store in an RV or pop out a camp for errands. Flat towing was the simplest most efficient way to bring a car.

Do I need to buy both the RV and the car?

No, they do not need to be sold together.

Are there any obvious signs of damage or wear to the Kia?

It's got a little sunburn from its time in Florida, but don't we all have a little sunburn in our past?

Is there anything broken or needs fixing in the Kia?

The 'interior door is open' light is on in the dashboard. It's the trunk door, but it's closed and secure, so the light is erroneous.

Are you a dealer?

Nope. Just a couple with an RV and car in central Georgia. Kim is a designer. Beto is a software engineer.
